If the oil is changed irregularly, the lubrication function of the oil will gradually decrease, leading to excessive oil consumption, premature engine wear, loss of power, until the connecting rod breaks and the engine is scrapped. If the engine operates in a high temperature or dusty environment, the oil change time should be around 25 hours, or it can be determined by the color of the oil in the oil chamber.
3. Gasoline engine connecting rod fracture or simultaneous cylinder block fracture
Fault manifestations:
The contact surface between the crankshaft and connecting rod is stuck. There are scratches on the surface of the connecting rod in contact with the crankshaft.
Cause of malfunction: Lack or absence of lubricating oil, causing high temperature melting and pulling of the contact surface (inner surface of connecting rod or even crankshaft surface).
Fault analysis:
Not adding lubricating oil (gasoline engine oil), or adding lubricating oil but not in place, or adding lubricating oil but not in place but the machine is used at an improper angle, causing oil splashing and the wheel not coming into contact with the oil, resulting in a lack of lubricating oil or a lack of lubricating oil on the contact surface between the crankshaft and connecting rod, leading to a lack of lubrication on the contact surface; The second is no cooling. Under normal circumstances, if it is at the rated operating speed, the crankshaft and connecting rod will bite due to the above reasons within a few minutes, causing the connecting rod to break and crack the cylinder block.
Adding counterfeit and inferior engine oil can also cause the above-mentioned problems.
Analysis basis:
(1) All internal combustion engines, crankshaft and connecting rod jamming (or locking) is caused by a lack of oil;
(2) Sometimes, if the machine damaged by the user does not have any signs of debris in the oil stored, it indicates that there is no oil during operation or the amount of oil is too low for the splash wheel to reach, or the oil in the machine was added after an accident occurred. The oil added afterwards did not participate in lubrication, so it is still clear and free of debris (the oil is gray black);
(3) There is also a situation where, although there is enough oil, when used on slopes greater than 25 degrees, the excessive inclination angle can cause oil splashing and the wheels cannot reach the oil, resulting in the above-mentioned faults or other component pulling (or locking), accelerated wear.
4. Engine roughness
The throttle is in the high position and the air damper is in the open state; Loose spark plug wires; Water and dirt entering the fuel system; The air filter is too dirty; Improper adjustment of carburetor; Loose engine fixing screws; The engine crankshaft is bent.
Troubleshooting method: Lower the throttle switch; Press the outer wire of the spark plug firmly; Clean the fuel tank and refill with fuel; Clean the air filter or replace the filter element; Readjust the carburetor; Check the engine fixing screws after turning off the engine; Correct the crankshaft or replace it with a new one.
5. The engine cannot shut down
The installation position of the throttle cable on the engine is appropriate; The throttle line is broken; Inadequate throttle activity; The ignition cord should not be in contact.
Troubleshooting method: Reinstall the throttle cable; Replace the new throttle cable; Drip a small amount of engine oil into the active position of the throttle; Check or replace the ignition wire. 6. Unable to start in spring
If the maintenance is not good after winter and the engine cannot be started in spring, the reasons and countermeasures are as follows:
(1) It is possible that the fuel tank has not been drained for the first year, so check if the fuel is qualified fresh oil.
(2) Its function is to discharge the pulse high-voltage electricity sent by the high-voltage wire (flame nozzle wire), breakdown the air between the two electrodes of the spark plug, generate electric sparks, and ignite the mixed gas in the cylinder. Many instances of unstable idle, shaking, poor acceleration, and insufficient power result in frequent self stalling during idle, leading to increased fuel and gas consumption. This is caused by damage to the spark plug. If the spark plug is dirty and can be cleaned, it is severely damaged and needs to be replaced with accessories of the same model. If ignition is not possible, the spark plug electrode gap can be adjusted, which is 0.6-0.9mm in winter and 0.9-1.0mm in other seasons;
(3) If the fuel of the gasifier was not burned out before it was discontinued last year, the gasifier should be cleaned (it must be cleaned by a professional);
(4) Send the lawn mower engine carburetor to a professional store for repair.
